Sakurai has said he's wanted to shake things up a bit, and I feel Ultimate is simply meant to be a swan song to the classic gameplay before moving on. So it's not going to be as important that the next game isn't going to "top" this one. It's going to be in a whole new category. Yeah he mentioned the roster having to be really small or something because of it.
