Seems like she was hellbent on being the next popular social media celebrity and when she realized she wasn't getting enough attention, let alone some negative criticism, and was just another superficial pretty girl in a sea of them and couldn't show she was extraordinary beyond that, it proved too much for her. The family wants to blame social media, but the fault really lies with her parents and family who didn't teach her better and / or support her well enough, or seek professional help for her if they did and she wasn't listening.
