I dont see why society should be fully bailing out somebody who knowingly took on 200k in debt to get a degree in philosophy or whatever (or physics, for that matter).
I love how every bleeding heart progressive has their own wildly different line of what personal choices deserve welfare. And then they wonder why their one-size-fits-all federal policies don't help anyone and no one likes them.

The fact is ALL taxes and ALL welfare are subject to this phenomenon. It's just economics and market forces, which are a fundamental fact of society and cannot be avoided. There is no policy that cannot be gambled with. And all those 200k debt people are doing is gambling on a future debt forgiveness policy. They're playing the game you designed and released into the world. And if you want to punish them for it, it's not only completely arbitrary, it's also just part of another game that another group will capitalize on.
