Those seem a bit high for what they are. Theres been a lot of theories about the GDQ company the past few years once it got really big. Mike Uyama gave up any control apparently to professionals. He pockets a salary keeps quiet and appears every now and then as a hype man. As others have stated a lot of runners were banned or not asked to come back for numerous reasons. Or they were asked to drop their personality to become more family orientated and stoic. Then another behind the scenes "issue" is that since becoming far more PC they have overlooked better runners in turn to allow others to be more presented. I mean, the point of charity events is to generate money. Which is what they do. The problem is how credible is it anymore and how many people are just donating their time now? There also appears to be some disagreement on what charity they use. Also there is tons of drama at the event itself.
