The rules are different for each religion. Catholic priests are not allowed to give out what was confessed or they could be automatically excommunicated.

Priest/clergy and penitent is privileged information. Although Oregon is a state where they are mandated reporters, she may have a case unfortunately. In most where there's mandatory reporting, information gained within a confession or conversation is still considered privileged and may be exempted from being reported

it also depends on what country you are from here in australia the seal of the confessional is no longer an excuse to not report sex abuse.
