Topic	I honestly don't understand how others can understand today's lingo with texting

In my experience, it's older people who use the most ridiculous text language. Most of it is incomprehensible, either from slang or abbreviations they think are a thing, or just incapable of texting. Almost everyone I know around my age, even way younger, don't even text slang or write it in social media.
