Each food category (ex: appetizer, entree, side, dessert) has a number of foods to choose from before the game, so the deck is customized to what the group wants to go for. Each of the foods have different mechanics (ex: only get points if no one else played miso soup this turn, if you have more than 2 eels you lose points). I almost consider the base game to be like a videogame demo - it's fine for a quick session but once it's done there's not really any point in going back to it. Party is the full game. --- ~Peaf~ ...
