Old guy thats been fighting for the people in VT for over 40 years, and only now, at the end of his life, has made a million bucks(from a book)... versus everyone else who has taken so much money from the corporations, and are completely indebted to them. Remember the teen movies from the late 90s/early 2000s? Guy has a female best friend, and hes losing his mind trying to get the popular girl in school. The whole movie hes striving to be with her. But in the end he realizes that his best friend likes him, and shes everything he ever truly wanted. Well... that chic is Bernie, and I hope people come to that realization soon.
