I know you're joking, but I think it is more that people want other peoples to have their voices heard too. That's why Brie Larson made the comment:

I dont need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didnt work about A Wrinkle in Time, Larson said. It wasnt made for him! I want to know what it meant to women of color, biracial women, to teen women of color.

Larson elaborated on this point, saying that it wasnt about excluding white men, but including those who have historically been marginalized.

Am I saying I hate white dudes? No, I am not. What I am saying is if you make a movie that is a love letter to women of color, there is an insanely low chance a woman of color will have a chance to see your movie, and review your movie.

But people tend to feel victimized by it.
The problem I've always had with Brie Larson's quote here is she's acting like women and minorities are being barred from reviewing movies. If anyone can show me evidence where that is the case, I'd be happy to change my stance on this, but as I see things now, maybe there are just fewer minorities and women who are interested in reviewing movies?
