I like Ninja Gaiden too. I see Messenger quite a bit differently. its more about platforming challenges and movement, almost like an Ori. I think maybe if you come to it from that NG perspective with a lot of history it could be disappointing, but I dont have those feelings despite a lot of NG over the years.
