There are a lot of things they could have done to remedy this, including something they already said they were doing in sun and moon (future proofing the models) that they then walked back on only to reveal they were lying about the reason for the walk back. there is no excuse for gamefreak to treat the Pokemon franchise like they do. See, I think this is kinda silly. No other series has anywhere close to 1000 characters. Expecting them to just keep going and never cut a single one is kinda ridiculous.
