This is why I changed my mind on wanting an FF9 remake when I heard Zidane speaking for the first time. FF9 has a lot of goofy lines that I love but don't ever want to be heard. I also think this is the secret litmus test for what makes a modern JRPG work - in the age of voice acting, can you write dialogue that isn't embarrassing to hear out loud?
