Can't help but feel like I got off lucky with my wisdom teeth removal. Worst I had to deal with was the post-anesthesia nausea, then as soon as I got home I slept for 5-6 hours and bounced right back to my usual energy level. Apparently that wasn't supposed to happen lol.
What happened with mine was that I got super nauseous from the pain meds and puked my guts up about 8 hours after the surgery. That causes the blood clot on that socket to come lose. Apparently in your mouth you only get one clot/scab unlike other body parts, so the tissue just becomes exposed and inflamed.
