| Austin_Era_II 12/24/19 1:57:20 PM #35: | Rent a bedroom for like $700 a month if you're single. Work a labour trade job earning close to $20 hourly. Do the math. And don't buy in a big city. Buy a 2 or 3 bedroom house and rent to other roommates at the going rate. My first house I started renting eventually. You can find decent homes in the $200-300K based on where you live. I charge my tenant living in the basement $1100 a month all inclusive. I got a roommate now for short term paying me $750 a month straight cash. I make close to $20 hourly. Not to mention I pay child support and have 50/50 custody of my kids. Yeah...it's not hard if you stick to a budget. And no I don't eat ramen noodles every night.
