But about 99% of the audience will be made up of people who only played the games. So they need to make it familiar to those that do. I have no idea if Triss is a redhead in the books, but she is in the games so that is what people are used to seeing, so she should be a redhead in the show. The fact is this series wouldn't be made if not for the games.
