Saw this with family yesterday, an appropriate subtitle would have been "contractual obligation".

I have no problem with the idea of Rey being related to Palpatine - to me it was actually a pretty interesting role reversal for the hero to be related to the previous villain while the villain was related to the previous heroes - but like so much of this movie it felt forced. No pun intended?

My two biggest problems with this film were Palpatine's return being poorly set up and the way exposition was handled, with the same abundance of shot reverse shots as the prequels and Rogue One only this time they felt completely rushed. Fix up those two and this movie probably improves quite a lot. On a scale of 1-10 I give this movie a 5, but very close to a 6.
