Wii U didn't sound interesting, or even that it was something new, and New 3DS had the opposite issue where it sounded like something totally new when it really wasn't. DSi was also a pretty stupid name, but it came out in the final months of that system's life, so nobody really cared. Gamecube sounded juvenile but at least it got the point across and was memorable.
