The Bravely games aren't even developed by Square...this is technically true because the team we consider the developer of both series didn't become a full fledged team within square until after the release of Octopath, but to say they're different studios and that Square didn't develop Bravely is highly misleading and incorrect. Bravely was a low priority series for Square so the creative leads had to use outside contractors to help with development. the same was true of Octopath, but the creative leads hired a different studio. even now after the founding of a dedicated studio, Square have hired outside the company to help with Bravely Default 2. that's just how game dev works --- ICON: Kiwami means extreme. ...
