You know I watched the first season of The Simpsons so far on Disney+ and Ive noticed that in almost every episode they interact in he does know his name. Its only in Season 2 where he seems to start with the whole boss doesnt even care enough to know my name shtick when he reads off Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Expecting from a card, and even then he mightve just needed the card for Trek rest of the family and not Homer.
