Thats what my mom did. She did it with her tax refund. Personally, I like the look of nice hardwood floors. Plus, it make clean up for pets easier. My older dog can shed a lot. Being able to sweep it up is great. It clogged the vacuum many times when I had a small area with carpet. Plus, if they do bring in any mud and dirt, the clean up is easier. Side note: Its not really important, but I remember my mom saying it looked really nice when she went to Arizona.
