Dunno about the family , that seems ridiculous but Zimmerman absolutely has a case against a lot of media outlets and the opposing council. For example, the police never considered it an unjustified shooting. They considered it an open and shut case of self defense (same as the court did) The case only was reopened and blew up after the media took over and turned it into a race thing. Literally editing Zimmermans phone call to make him sound racist, claiming he shot Martin in the back of the head, claiming he ignored dispatch instructions, claiming he stalked Martin And that's just the literal lies before you get into the biased hyperbolic language and narrative like TCs write up. The fact Zimmerman is millions in debt, lost his family and was dragged through a circus of a massive trial for no reason is complete injustice At this point I feel people just enjoy the narrative so much because there is no reason for people to still believe the narrative that was pushed, yet people actively distinctly avoid facts like a religious fundamentalist just to be mad. Drop the family out of it but Zimmerman absolutely deserves a fuck load of punitive damages.
