Weeeird, it can be read as both kusai and nioi? Does it still mean stinky when it's read as nioi? Or does it just mean neutral-smelling.
It means bad-smelling when read as . One scene that I remember is when the party comes across a burning town in FFIX. Zidane says there, which is meant to be read as , because while burning town may smell bad it doesn't literally smell like shit or rotting eggs or something like that.

It's always a noun.
