It's pretty slow paced, but I feel like things are explained well and I'm learning a lot. Might switch over to Genki after this book though, I dunno. Additionally, I recently started following this guide for learning kanji: https://nihongoshark.com/learn-kanji/ . They're a pain in the ass but I look forward to getting them out of the way.
