Every decade seems faster than the last, time seems to speed by, and you occasionally realize that things that feel like they just happened yesterday actually happened like 8 years ago. I have a hunch that this is due to people getting jobs, where they train themselves to make the day go by as fast as possible. Maybe people just get too good at it. It's just because you've lived longer. If you're 5 years old, one year seems like a lot because it's one fifth of the entire time you've been alive.
