He's not unskilled, but he definitely relies a lot on the Mandalorian armor/reputation and hackneyed one liners to see him through trouble. Like how he intimidates the Imperials into backing down first, but the Jawas don't give a shit so he has to be the one to disarm. Also the way his equipment is useful but not invincible.
