"I like pepsi more than coke" can be a reasoning that a mod used to moderate someone.
I've been moderated for saying I'm against racism, for posting in the same topic that a mod did ("harassment" even though I was defending him), for calling a Gamefaqs mod a Gamefaqs mod, for saying I love America (they claimed my secret implied meaning was that other people don't), and 2 times because I posted in somebody's topic where a completely different user who made the topic said something in his topic title that the mod didn't like, so I got moderated for it - one of them for "LOL" within a title which the mod viewed as offensive. Theoretically anyone ITT could be moderated if the mod doesn't like the title of this topic.
I got an admin note about my board saying it could be closed down because someone posted/reposted about the death of a fictional character, an admin PM over what turned out to be an nkl.
Another user was modded for "generalizing" ISIS in a negative way, and that moderation was defended by the community manager at the time. So this has been going on for a while
So if a mod likes Coke over Pepsi and feels very strongly about this for whatever reason, that's definitely at risk of being taken down. The moderations here are often based on how a mod feels that day.
Holy shit get a God damn fucking life already.
