Its a lack of empathy to ONLY be able to relate (or whatever...) to dogs. To ONLY understand that viewpoint. For your worldview to be based on and limited by your liking of a single animal is to not understand other people and views and not empathize with them.

But this topic you made literally more
than merely implies that feeling more of an appreciation and fondness for dogs than people = a lack of empathy.

Thats not at all what it implies. Its about people who are obsessed with dogs, and it is a problem if you genuinely think that humanity is below dogs. I totally get being attached to a pet but thats just not healthy IMO. Nor is it empathic to other people who do in fact matter more than a dog.
