Yoda was this mysterious, ancient master of the force who could lift an X-wing. His power was wisdom and patience, not rad lightsaber fighting. Lucas turned the Jedi into anime characters doing unnecessary flips and flashy acrobatics in the PT. They weren't originally like that. They weren't like that in the OT because the only proper one we got was a geriatric obi wan. The PT jedi were properly trained from birth.
