I saw Alpharad mistakenly call Hop Hau and I completely don't blame him.
They are literally the exact same character and I legitimately don't know why. Hau was completely awful and nobody fucking liked him, so why even bring him back?
There was an interview somewhat recently where the devs talked about no longer liking having asshole rivals. It's why we haven't really had one since Gold/Silver
Yeah, but they can have different personalities to these rivals if they weren't lazy about it. Hop is literally just a reskinned Hau. He acts exactly the same, and Hau's "OMG UR MY BESTEST FRIEND AND I DON'T CARE IF I LOSE" attitude is so sickeningly annoying over time.
Hau was fine tbh. He wasnt that peppy. He was pretty laidback ---
