At the end of the day there's still no actual transparency to the system which is largely what people have issues with.

I post on a few other forums and while the extent to which they openly moderate varies, all of them at least:
a) tell you when a report you made is "reviewed" (this just means a Mod or Admin looked at it, and either acted on it or no-actioned it)
b) tell you which member of the Mod or Admin team handled the report
c) tell you which member of the Mod or Admin team deleted or edited one of your posts, and why (which is just the flip side of b)

The "variation" here is that for some of the forums, they'll also tell you what punishment they gave the user (ex. "7 day posting ban").

You can't tell me this website, which has had incidents such as a Moderator publicly admitting that they absolutely hate a regular user, wouldn't benefit from even the slightest bit of transparency.

Like shit, what's the reasoning for why we can't see the tallies on the votes for when a moderation is disputed now? Are they hiding the numbers because they could look bad?

Plus hell remember when we used to be able to view moderated messages and indicate whether we agreed or disagreed with it? That single thing provided infinitely more transparency than anything that exists now.
