The movies - no disrespect to Christmas movies, but fitting movies for Halloween are simply more diverse, and less predictable in terms of content and emotions. 2. Its theme-appropriate animals are really cool. 3. It doesn't force you to figure out suitable gifts for those close to you. 4. It's the one day of the year where wearing a costume in public (unless it's part of your job or you're in a niche gathering) is socially acceptable. 5. Its origins are more interesting.
