First off, I'm not trying to offend you. I just want to know why the behavior. Last time I remember this was @Nade_Duck I always figured the dude was PMing people hot noods or something. I just didn't understand how some guys could lower themselves to idolizing a peer before other peers through a megaphone as a topic post or mention of them. Seems an unorthodox thing to do for a guy. After all, we grow up watching The Karate Kid, Rambo, and other hero movies that are supposed to inspire us. It is one thing to idolize a hero, but a poster on GameFAQs? You can't see them, you don't know if they are a man or woman. You don't really know what kinda person they are, and the experience seems much less than human, as it is confined to a username and a history of posts.

I'm sure even Nade felt it odd the way some randos he'd never meet were sucking up to him. It always puzzled me because I'd never think to behave in such a way. Even when I am praised alike, I push it away and feign unworthiness due to it making me feel uncomfortable.

I guess there is no way to ask this kinda why without stepping on toes and people getting mad at me for calling out their behavior. However, this too doesn't follow. That is to say, it is unorthodox. Because if these people do it, it is not some autonomic gesture or reaction as if they suddenly were to sneeze. It is premeditated and done before their peers. So the act itself must be justified to them.

So I am here. I simply ask you to explain the reasons why this is done. I'm sure there are more than one. Some will be obvious and not satisfying, but one of you may give a reason that I cannot think of that will quench the thirst for the anomaly that is this behavior I see some of you exhibit. Not being just the wiles of my mind on a late Tuesday night, I'm sure the answer will somehow be a derivative of primal social behavior. Maybe it will be useful to others. Or, to even you.
