Yeah I was just too desperate for the Lightning win, it's not a time to "go for a challenge" or anything like that. Again, the same thing got pulled last year on Kefka who was far more deserving than either of the other two. Gotta go for the better odds, as unsatisfying narratively as it might be!

I might try estimating the Auron/Lightning final but the fact is, at a glance, I'm seeing at least 8 switches from Lightning savers in this final + multiple savers who weren't involved going fully for Auron + more Edward savers going to Auron than Lightning. So yeah...

If this was the "Year of VI" and last year's kind of lawyering happened then I probably would, yeah.

But this is a different situation, just like Red XIII and Vivi were robbed of deeper opportunities (not heartbroken for either of those!). I was also keeping count of the posts so I knew Kefka didn't have the saves. Sorry! Maybe I'll be on board with that by the end of next year when all my favs are inevitably gone despite my dreams of

I am intrigued by the prospect of a Squall run, even though there hasn't been any respect shown by SOME of his backers, there have been from others. Ideally a Seifer push doesn't disrupt that. Kefka, Squall, Seymour and Garnet would all be nice SMFFFC stories, but the nicest would be hot-as-hell-7R-Tifa winning in the remake year.

Or "year of the villain" and Sephiroth gets the deep run I wasn't sufficiently committed to this year...

There's only one man who should win "year of the villain":
