This is just the RSE comparability issue all over again, except we know in advance. They always slash features too, and postgame has been getting steadily worse since Gen 3 - Battle Frontier and Sevii Islands were the peak and since then they've leaned more heavily in the competitive battling and online components to carry the postgame. They scrapped their best side content, Contests and Pokeathalon, after Gen 4. They couldn't even commit to Megas for more than one gen. Like I honestly dont get how you can be a Pokemon fan and continue to gave such high expectations for a developer that has never gave a shit about meeting them. I dunno, I've just been over this.
