I'm not sure what I'd put as my favorite VGM of all time, but I Just Smile is a definite contender. It feels like the exact opposite of what I'm supposed to love (I don't want to know how many times I've complained about songs being too happy in recent memory), but everything about the song just works for me. From the choice of imagery to the rather imperfect English translation which makes it feel like it's being sung by someone who has some difficulty with her word choices, it just works for me completely.

Going to the backlog for a minute, "Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth - CORROSION"'s link is broken as the account was closed. Song isn't hard to find, so I just used this link instead for rating purposes:

If there's anything wrong with that link or someone has a better one, let me know and I'll re-rate it.

On a related note, is "Dreamfall - Faith" supposed to have such a ridiculously long stretch of silence there? The outro was worth waiting for, but I'd give the song so many more points if the wait wasn't so ludicrously long...
