just mow down thanksgiving and forget it even existed guys because christmas needs all the time it can get to remind people to buy loads of presents and listen to crappy christmas songs while wearing itchy sweaters and watching the same poorly rendered christmas specials you do every year

Given that the Christmas stuff starts popping into stores before Halloween, it's kinda inevitable.

Some stores start stocking Christmas shit in August.

Its like you guys have never heard of Christmas in
July...

that's not a thing...it's just a marketing ploy that never caught on

The first known reference to Christmas in July was all the way back in 1892 and the unofficial holiday was first practiced in the United States in 1933. Even today it is practiced in many places throughout the world as a way to get over the hot summer months by pretending that its winter again, being practiced mostly in the, admittedly hotter, southern parts of the United States as well as also in some European countries where the practice is believed to have ultimately originated from. In addition, the Southern Hemisphere exists.
