anti- mustard people are also so weird to me. its so good on subs, with pretzels, sausages...cannot imagine not loving it.
It's because simple yellow gets put on sandwiches and that's too strong a flavor/too little liquid for the amount needed for the optimal added hydration to counteract dry bread and not so hydrated meat. A simple bologna sandwich goes down fine with mayo, replace mayo with yellow mustard and you may as well pull a hot dog contest move and dunk it in water if you want to get it down. Mustard gets a bad rap because it typically does need help.
The thing you're missing is that ALL mustard is terrible. ---
