How many people will choose not to buy a niche JRPG specifically because of questionable content? Next to zero. How many will choose not to buy it specifically because the content was forcibly cut? Sony's finding out now. I don't see why they're cracking down on things like that now, when they were expressly open to it in the past. If they're worried about their image, that sure doesn't worry Nintendo, the reigning king of family friendly gaming, who went on record saying they wouldn't force such censors on Switch.
