story? I'm just hearing this for the first time

moved to texas for a job, the office i worked at got shut down, moved back to ny

got a job taking claim reports for commercial auto insurance, was much better than everyone else at it. management found out i had experience being a claim adjuster and bumped me up. been doing it since july. mental state has been nosediving ever since. i knew i wouldnt like the job but i didnt think i would be so crippled by my mental state over it. after a night of extremely rocky sleep and a morning full of nausea and dizziness, i sat down with my boss and said "this is really hard to ask, but is there any way i can be considered to go back to my old department"

my boss was like "is everything ok mike" and i'm like "you guys have been great to me but i've been having a 4 going on 5 month panic attack over this. i wanted to hold out because i thought i would escape these jitters eventually but it's beginning to affect me outside of work as well"

she was basically like wow i'm really sorry to hear that, that's the last thing we want for you, yadda yadda. She said she'll talk to office management and see if i can go back. we're not sure because there's a temp in my old position at the moment
