More like a really cool world map theme! Seriously, this reminds me of Super Mario Land 2 or something, more of Game Boy than a Game Gear. Not much to it here but for what it is, I like it. - 99th: Sonic & Knuckles Collection - Carnival Night Zone Act 2 Composer: Jun Senoue, Shigeaki Irie, Masaaki Nishizawa, Goro Takahashi Score: 61/100 (6.8), Sonic & Knuckles Collection (2/6) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhyP6q1qoOM" data-time=" Every time I begin to listen to it and wonder "wait why is this song this high up again?" 0:22 kicks in and I get surprised every time. Very surprising full sound compared to most of the other compositions/arrangements in Knuckles Collection, and its gotta a pretty nice melody throughout on top of it. The parts kinda jumble together but it's a fun song! - 98th: Sonic CD (JPN/PAL) - Wacky Workbench "P" mix Composer: Masafumi Ogata Score: 61/100 (6.8), Sonic CD (JPN/PAL) (19/28) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_BHXsgM940" data-time=" Where Palmtree Panic takes you back to prehistoric times, Wacky Workbench takes you back to the... 40s in an alternate timeline where you hoedown to house music???? "Wacky" is definitely the best way to describe this song. Especially 1:00, it's a bit repetitive but its a good beat with that bass, and the transpose down is cool. And then 1:30 starts the real show! There's the Wacky Workbench scale that I like to hear! The end of the loop is so short but it saves the song a rather hefty amount. Yehaw! - 97th: Sonic CD (USA) - Wacky Workbench "G" mix Composer: Spencer Nilsen, David Young Score: 61/100 (6.8), Sonic CD (USA) (10/21) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVkx53tCuus" data-time=" BIG SLAPPY. Very big step up from the "B" mix seen earlier in the list; higher tempo and that hot fretless bass help bolster it a large amount. It's so quick though, and the outro is really long for no reason, so it seems like so much of the runtime is kind of a waste.
