No they were only for integrating natives. existed until less than 50 years ago and involved a fuckton of systematic beatings, rapes, deaths, and insane punishments for just using their own language or doing Indian things. And involuntarily took children from their homes to forcibly attend those schools. To this day they figure there are probly another 3 thousand kids or more who died and were just buried and forgotten and that doesnt count the thousands upon thousands who were killed or died of disease and who have been discovered. sorry.
