Short but does some cool stuff in that short time. Anytime you have the melody and countermelody coming together at the end of a phrase and playing together like this song does in the beginning is always really cool to me, and the pitch up adds to it as well. Unfortunately, the second section of the song is kinda whatever, which is super not good when you have something of this length. So when I listen to it I ended up switching between "really like" and "don't care at all" for it.

111st: Sonic Chaos - Sleeping Egg Zone
Composer: Kojiro Mikusa, Masayuki Nagao
Score: 60/100 (6.7), Sonic Chaos (4/8)

Contra the Hedgehog. This song is almost egregiously jazzy to me, like it's the equivalent of someone trying to show off with some elaborate solo during your high school performance, but instead its the composer showing off this funky stuff in his video game. Once again, there's a slightly different Game Gear version for this one, but it only switches up two single-bar sections with different, even more crazy solo-y sections. Honestly despite knowing that they're different they both sound the same to me so I don't really have a preference at all, and once again am ranking considering them the same.

110th: Sonic CD (USA) - Wacky Workbench "B" mix
Composer: Spencer Nilsen, David Young
Score: 60/100 (6.7), Sonic CD (USA) (12/21)

Despite kinda panning similar songs in this list so far, I do think this one is pretty cool still! The vocal stuff is consistently cool among all the US CD tracks, and the bass/background synth in this one are pretty cool to listen to as well. 0:47 to the "end of loop" is really cool as well, I REALLY like the guitar solo that bleeds into the beginning of another loop as well, which might sound weird considering how much I've panned the guitar in these songs up until now. Guess it just managed to get used in the right away!
