But I could be wrong. ParanoidObsessive posted... I'd have turned right to the two people and gone "Look, no offense, but I don't even remotely know you and I'm not cool with you living here". Maybe even going so far as to point out that if my housemate had asked me in private first I might have said yes, but now I'm saying no just on principle. I would not have gone that far, but I would have voiced some disapproval when the question was asked. "I wish you would have asked me ahead of time...as long as you are out by two weeks!!" And be very clear and assertive about that last part. Then if they don't follow through, you can start flipping your shit. It'd be more than justified, and there'd be no confusion from anyone. That's how I would have personally handled it, but it's not like you have a time machine. <.< Also "no eating my food, make sure to clean up after yourself." Etc. Right when they move in, that's the time to lay the ground rules. Next time, do not miss that opportunity. I'm sure you are aware of that now.
