YouTube has emboldened the right and alt-right through radicalization simply because of what their algorithm recommends next. Harvard even unintentionally discovered that it curates content for pedophiles. Yeah, but "one of the most destructive things has faced until how" is colossal hyperbole if I ever heard it. Destabilizing nations and putting right wing YouTube celebrities literally in power is pretty destructive stuff and it's just the beginning. As the algorithm becomes more sophisticated, it will continue trapping and radicalising more and more of the vulnerable and less intelligent of society.
