Thats pretty much my main criticisms so far, that its just too soft most of the time. Though I think the dungeon themes are quite good so far, except not sure how I feel about Anglers Tunnel, not that the original was anything special, just the ambient parts sound kinda weird to me in the remake. And holy hell Face Shrine is phenomenal, like beyond great and really hit me with the nostalgia.

Id also like to say that I was being a bit over dramatic in the title. I dont dislike any of the music, in fact I do like most of it, except the Panic music and Animal Village, just not feeling most of it the same. Its just a personal minor criticism and I am enjoying the game so far (aside from the blasted frame drops)
