If you want tips, basically always start with 2 sizzly puffs then abuse multibash until one of the bars is close then work on the others with appropriate skills like triple/double bash until the rest are close. 9 times out of 10 youll get Hephaestus Flame so once they are all close activate it and use a skill like (ka)quadrabash to cover the most area you can.

If its a 2x2 or 4x2 you can use kaquadrabash after the sizzlypuffs instead of multibash

It just boils down to rng on the 5 star ones for me. Which is fine. I honestly have worse luck with half-inch which is why I'm complaining

Only times i was failing (or not +3ing really since anything else is basically a fail) anything at level 65+ was when i wouldnt get Hephaestus Flame to trigger, with sizzly and multibash you should always have enough focus to do it as long as it triggers
