Some of it is kinda trial and error, there's one fight that's easy to screw yourself out of, but a lot of it is kinda obvious. Most of the stuff (like the game "pushing" pacifism) is better than execution that it sounds on paper. It does interesting fourth wall stuff. I liked the bullet hell part of the fights. Music is fantastic, and in general I think it did a really good job of setting the moods and ambience it wanted to set. Main character's gender is intentionally left ambiguous, you can go on silly "dates" with a few different folks, lesbians exist, compassion is pushed as a virtue, and tumblr likes it, and that's the sum total of why it's seen as an "SJW game." You do need to play it about three times to get the full experience, but it's pretty short and those three playthroughs will be very different. All that being said you really don't strike me as the type who'd enjoy it.
