Might be easier to just take the 4 damage to prevent more than 4 in the long run. Thats the problem it isnt a 4/3 unless your opponent chooses for it to be a 4/3. This is the Browbeat problem and why a lot of cards like this are traps both sides are great in a vacuum, but when you have context, your opponent will always choose the side that is worse for you. On turn 1, they either dont have removal, in which case it becomes a bolt+1. Pretty sweet. If they do have the removal, you just played a creature that dealt no damage to them, as opposed to Goblin Guide, Monastery Swiftspear, or Eidolon of the Great Revel. You spent a turn doing nothing, which you cant afford to do. Mid-game, you need cards with reach, which Vexing Devil does not provide. A 4/3 for 1 is completely irrelevant in a burn deck by turn 3, in which case it again dealt no damage. --- E come vivo? Vivo! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
