Any Republican that votes against impeachment will likely see that fact used against them in the next general election. Of course, if they vote for impeachment, they'll piss off the Trumpnatics in the next primary election.

The best thing for the Republican Congresspersons would be to postpone the vote as long as possible, until after the primaries if possible, then they can vote for impeachment without risking losing the primary. And since the Trumpnatics wouldn't vote for a Democrat, it won't affect the general election.

I would think they'd either want to not vote him out at all, or get it over with as early as possible, so there's time to pick someone else to run for 2020 and have a chance.
Of course, Trump can still run if he's thrown out of office and maybe they don't want a split ticket. But the sooner he's out, the sooner he can go on trial for his multitude of crimes at the federal and state level and a conviction would invalidate his ability to run for office. So once again...the sooner the better.
And a split ticket wouldn't be any worse for them than having their nominee fucking impeached and removed from office like 2 months before the election, anyway.
