The youth football head coach of the Conshohocken Golden Bears, Kyle Williams, faces a $500 fine and a 2 game suspension because the team, which is comprised up entirely of children no older than 7 years old, won by too many points. The Keystone Sports League, which the Bears are a part of, has a rule that no team is allowed to win by more than 30 points, a rule that was violated by the team.

The Bears were in the lead 30 - 0 with 2 minutes left in the game when Coach Williams called a timeout to pull out all of his starting lineup and replace them with younger players who usually were not fielded during games. When gameplay resumed an unidentified 5 year old player on the Bears got hold of the ball and made his way towards the opposing goal. Coach Williams ran on the sidelines of the field along with the player begging him to fall down and not score, as he was aware he would be in violation of the rules if the player scored, but the player made the touchdown anyway, ending the game 36 - 0.

The punishment was brought into the public limelight when coach Williams brother-in-law and former Philadelphia Eagles player, Torrey Smith, tweeted his disdain for the leagues decision.

The president of the Bears executive board has publicly stated that the board does not condone Williams choice to run the play which lead to the violation.

Despite begging the player to avoid the violating touchdown, Willians has responded to the outrage with I have three sons. I'm not gonna tell my son, especially if he's running the ball, 'Don't go out there and give it your all.'"
